Bidrage med feedbackWe were there in July, family with 2 teenagers. Incredible view, terrace direct above the sea, very very nice staff, and the food was delicious. After we discovered this place, we were going there two more times.
Thursday evening, restaurant 70% full. Waitress did not speak a word of English. The second waiter explained us the menu and specials. The drinks and first course arrived fairly soon. We ordered risotto as the second waiter's recomendation. It took 40 minutes for it be served. Risotto is served on a hot plate, rice should be creamy and food should be served while still hot. This dish was in room temperature and rice was dry. When I tried to voice my opinion the waitress who spoke English earlier pretended she did not understand a word I was saying. As I mentioned the restaurant was't that busy that evening, I don't any reason to serve such a terrible meal. It wasn't even that cheap.
We just had an excellent meal here. I had the fish marmite (which is basically a bouillabaisse) and my partner the duck, followed by the lava cake. All three were absolutely perfect had we been here longer we’d definitely have come back! Great service and great view
By far the best restaurant around Porticcio/Pietrosella of those we have tried. Highly recommend you book in advance to secure a good table overlooking the sea. The setting is magnificent! The service is GREAT which is remarkable considering the number of tables and the fact the restaurant has three distinct zones. Ours had a view of the sea but also the kitchen: we could see the lead chef and his team working so hard, carefully and quickly. Extremely good hygiene. Our main waitress spoke excellent English and was attentive but not obsequious. Portion sizes were spot on and we enjoyed starters, mains and dessert. Probably the best choice for vegetarians locally. Great fresh sea bass and langoustes, nice Fusion choices too including tataki, wok fried beef or vegetables. Superb presentation and can't go without mentioning the moelle chocolat: to die for! The best dinner we have had on the island.
A great location with sea views. Food choices good, but expensive. The chef clearly has an obsession with putting food in deep bowls, making it difficult to cut/eat… a flat plate would do. Cutting a meaty fish (lotte) in a sauce, in a bowl, was a challenge. It is late May and was a breezy night, so pretty cold sitting outside take a warm fleece! We asked to be moved, as did many others, which in a fully booked restaurant made the staff stressed. Possibly the owners wife and daughter taking up a table if four covers at the warmest table at the busiest point didn’t help their stress levels. They were literally running back and forth, which did not make for a relaxed dinner. A couple of smiley waitresses helped a little. The white wine (1769) was good and the Caesar salad starter good, (except the deep bowl) and the mysterious free spirit offered at the end a nice touch. The moules looked like the dish we should have ordered.
