Bidrage med feedbackWe drove back north with a few friends from a trip to La Grande Motte and drove Le Chalet in Grospierres, which was a menu du Jour at 12€. There were some cars parked with local 07 number plates, which was a good sign, so we went in. There is a fairly large terrace, and although it is next to the main road, the shrub shop makes it less intrusive (although sadly not less loud). The menu du Jour was a slightly strange combination of Thai nems and salad followed by N. African couscous and fruit cake with chantilly cream. The Nems were OK, but nothing to get excited. The couscous was with chicken, a few small pieces of lamb and a small Mercguez sausage, plus some vegetables "steel". Again it was edible, but all the meat was very overcooked. My wife instead chose the river fishing sander from la carte. The fish was pretty good, but he had a whole load of other things on the plate that were completely unnecessary and unpleasant. The service was competent and friendly, although it was easily mechanistic and I noticed that the smile fell abruptly when there was an inquiry. It's probably a good enough stop if your main determinant is price, but I wouldn't want to come back.
Also has an outdoor garden I don't think existed when we were there last in 2015. I chose a steactar I had to prepare. The meat was good and there was a tray with 7 or 8 ingredients, plus some spicy sauces. The chips were very good and prepared from the path of artistic form. Are you cutting with a device from Thailand???? The cook didn't want to give away his secrets! The service was fast and the reception was warm. If you drive past this restaurant, ask yourself if you stop or not! Please.
Very nice service also speak English, delicious food, large portions, normal prices, comfortable, clean. Although it is directly on the main road, it is very quiet thanks to many plants and flowers. We were there with two families.
Which also sells pizza! When you drive past this resaurant you wonder if you should stop or not. Howerver, we were pleasantly surprised first of all by the welcome and secondly by the food. The salads (small portions) were copious, colourful and fresh. The steak was excellent likewise the chips. We returned for lunch the following day and were again. taken by the warm atmosphere. Well worth the visit.
It looks like a snack bar but the cooking is way beyond that. Went twice with a mixed family group. Great steak, delicious chips. Best creme brûlée ever. Portions pretty hefty, prices not expensive. Service efficient and friendly.
