Service was great. The waiter spoke perfectly English and could describe every menu item and beer catalogue in detail. Very attentive, friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious. I have a breast-eye steak perfectly cooked and seasoned. The pages were a bit dazzling, but I'm here anyway for the meat. Mac and cheese were quite weak. Very expensive menu, but was worth every penny. I've spent a lot of time, I'll go back! P.S: Please get better meat knives.

Block Barrels is the type of place you frequently go. The food is great, the drinks are great, but the staff is amazing. Every time my employees and I would visit, we were greeted and treated like VIP. This is just our favorite restaurant in Groningen. If you're in the area, you should do yourself a favor and go now.
