Les Santons - Grimaud

We had a lovely lunch here today. I had asparagus starter, monkfish main and pavlova dessert. My husband had the foie gras starter, monkfish main and chocolate tart. All excellent and so was the service. We will visit this restaurant again when we return in August. We couldn’t manage the cake served with coffee so the lady wrapped it for us so we could take it home

Booked on the Sunday for lunch via the Fork. We visited Grimaud from our home in Les Issambres ‘a moto’ for the festival of St Michel up in the old town (which was very special by the way). Small problems re ‘booking’ the table as ‘The Fork’ had availability at 12.30, but Tripadvisor and the restaurant’s web site stated only open in the evening. Took a chance and booked, checked on the day and a note in the Menu Window stayed open for lunch. Got there a little early and it looked closed. Climbed the steps and tried the door, locked! Sorry for the long story!! One of the staff opened the door and welcomed us in, offered us a seat in the lounge area for an aperitif. From that point on it was a wonderful experience, I have passed the place many times in my travels and so glad now that I have actually been there. Our hostess, all the staff, the ambience and the food was first class. We will be going back again soon. Many thanks to all the team and my compliments to the chef.

We had a most enjoyable evening at Les Santons. From the friendly welcome to the wonderful meal and excellent wine. The set menu was delicious and balanced perfectly for the Provencal climate. We were lucky to be seated on the terrace served by the friendly and professional waiting staff. Highly recommended.

Coming from NYC this was one of the BEST meals while staying here in the South of France. The flavors of every course were over the top mind blowing. Is the there a 6 star? Thank you so much for the wonderful service. We will be back.
