Bidrage med feedbackChina Restaurant Greven, visited 24.09.2014 I was on the A 1 in the south and reached the Münster/Osnabrück area at noon. Somewhere between the two big cities I left the highway and went to search for a place to lunch through the area. After all, I came to Greven, where I parked my car in the vicinity of the savings bank due. The RK app advised me some restaurants in walking distance, one of which turned out to be a pure ice cream cafe, but the China restaurant directly opposite had regularly opened. When entering the restaurant, I first came to a relatively dark walk, from which smaller guest rooms were visible to the right and left. Immediately I was greeted by an operation from the background, which led me back into the main guest room where she left me the free choice under the tables. I took place at a table on the wall and saw that only another table was occupied at the window. After a few moments, the service brought the menu and lighted the tea light on the table. Generally, the young Asian, who only messed up the service, was very friendly and accommodating. She spoke almost without accent German and had probably also enjoyed a gastronomic training, the whole appearance at any rate made it clear. Eating The menu lists an extensive range of Asian specialties with significantly over 100 different positions, with different menus and a lunch table offering with 23 positions. I chose no. 309 from the lunch offer, “beef with paprika, bamboo, onions and Morcheln (sharf “ (6,80 € with a spring roll as an appetizer and ordered a mineral water (0,25l for 2,00 €). The mineral water was brought shortly after, a few minutes later also the spring roll. It was visually not a convenience, but quite obviously itself and freshly prepared. The filling of cabbage, sprouts, small carrot and even smaller minced meat pieces was quite tasty, but could still be sprinkled with some sambal. The emptied plate of the spring roll was quickly cleared and in return a rechaud with plate was brought to it. Shortly afterwards, the operation then brought an oval plate with the meat and vegetables mixture and a bowl with rice. I filled from both on the plate and started eating. The meat proved to be delicate and tasty, the vegetables had the desired bite, and even if the whole was dressed with the known dark sauce, it did not prove to be the feared glutamate bomb. The taste was more reserved, vegetables and meat were recognizable with their own tastes. The size of the portion was absolutely sufficient for a lunch table. Ambience The guest rooms are kept relatively dark, the walls are covered with dark wood, so the numerous large-format backlit glass paintings on the walls and the ceiling are very good to appreciate. The medium-brown wood furniture, the tables were covered with red fabric tablecloths and white covers. The places were covered with napkins, fork and spoons, and on each table there was a tealight in the acrylic lamp, a beer lid stand and a memento with salt, pepper, soy sauce and Sambal Oelek. The floor was covered with red needle felt, the ceiling was designed with white cassettes. Cleanliness No complaints regarding the rooms and the furniture. Plates, glasses and cutlery were clean, I didn't visit the toilet.
Cheap and delicious lunch has been available for over 30 years
I love this China restaurant and go there for 30 years. No buffet restaurant like most Chinese restaurants. A self-made spring roll that does not come out of the freezer, as almost everywhere. And the food? Great. The ambience is how China restaurants were 30 years ago. Time stopped here, but not bad. The service is top and, as stated, the food is simply delicious and not today's usual China delivery service and buffet stuffing.
