Bidrage med feedbackNice authentic atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Amazing healthy portions of food for a fair price. Everything is fresh, delicious and authentic. The owner's wife apparently makes the Tiramisu fresh daily for desert. Amazing! I highly recommend it.
Just had a great meal at Villa Rosa. I must first start out by saying that the Pandemic has created a very different environment for independent (non-chain) restaurants. Keeping staffed is incredibly challenging. I was in Greensboro for an event and while the parking lot was not majorly busy, I wanted to give it a shot. Rosa and her husband Franco, made my experience very special. The food and wine were great! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and having a nice chat about Italy made my experience even more special. Please give this place a try, but be patient as they are working as fast as possible to make this a great experience for everyone...with minimal staff. I will for sure return to see you Rosa and Franco!!! Thank you for a wonderful meal.
This is a cute little place with good food and kind staff. I would recommend it to anyone, just be ready to take home leftovers!
Down here in Greensboro with my daughter who is throwing javelin tomorrow at nationals. Since we are here for HER she got to pick the dinner joint and she wanted pasta. Ladies at the front desk recommended Villa Roma and it was a 5 minute drive. Place is a little hard to find as the entrance is actually around the back, but there was plenty of parking. We were seated immediately and the waiter took our drink order quickly. The place seemed friendly and I liked the decor...definitely a solid effort there. We dove right in and my daughter ordered (as usual) penne a la vodka with grilled chicken and I tried the capellini with red clam sauce. The meals came with salads and garlic bread as well. Waiter was quick to bring out the salads and garlic bread and he was attentive and filled the water glasses a couple of times. As for the food, it was good, but wasn't great. Salads and garlic bread were your normal Italian place fare and the glass of Rosemount Shiraz I ordered was fine...pricey, but a nice pour. Our meals were, again, good, but not up to our Snooty Jersey Italian Food expectations. My meal was a little underseasoned and needs a touch of salt and pepper. Overall, nothing wrong here and I have nothing to compare it to in the area so as far as I know this place could be the best around here. I just had higher hopes. I'd try it again if I was from this area for sure.
I am extremely sad to hear that Villa Rosa, Frank and Rosa have decided to close and retire. Unfortunately for us the closing came when we were traveling so we did not have the opportunity to have a last meal and say our goodbyes to two wonderful people. We certainly enjoyed many great meals in the restaurant and always enjoyed visiting with them during our visits. This restaurant had the best pizza in town and many of the other meals were favorites of ours over the years. While other restaurants we frequented have closed over the years Villa Rosa was our favorite and will be very hard to replace. Our Best to you in retirement, you have certainly earned it however we will greatly miss our meals with you. Dennis S.
