Manny's Universal Cafe - Greensboro

Dont leave here without trying the bacon, I've never had bacon like that b4, I asked for extra crispy bacon, my only regret was I didnt ask for more bacon, bacon with a side of bacon is my recommendation, scrambled eggs were perfection, Margarita and Manny were excellent hosts, food was fresh, fruits on the pancakes were fresh, and did I mention the BACON, u wont be disappointed eating here. THIS IS NOT FAST FOOD, but it wasn't a forever wait either, as quality food is never fast. We ate in the patio out back, surrounded by a garden of fresh vegetables, cool morning air, very very light city sounds in the background, even the OJ was different and refreshing. Shame I wont be back anytime soon as we were driving through Greensboro on our way to Raleigh from Shelby, but, we found a slice of heaven here. Thanks again for the food and service. Did not order, because when we came in, we were not greeted and had to find out ourselves to grab a menu and sit down. but when a white couple went in less than 5 minutes later, they were greeted with smiles and a menu offered and asked, they wanted to sit outside because it is beautiful. I was so horrified. the dame has never told us a word all the time. I guess we weren't easy enough. will not go back there again and it is sad because this was our first time to find this place and try it out.

That was my second time when I went to Mannys and both were unpleasant. I was never greeted during the entry. the first time I visited manny’s, I went in moments before a Spanish couple, and I didn’t even get a kind of greeting, not even a hallo, but the Spanish couple was greeted in their native language and handed over menus while I had to grab myself. today, if they give it a 2nd attempt, I have not yet received any form of greeting to make the dinge worse, there was another Caucasian group to enter moments after me, and they were welcomed and asked where they would like to sit while I still stand there puzzle, what to do or how to place a job and was never helped manny has better to do. I wish I could rate it a 0 star!

This place is amazing, it is a small place you never expected, but it is so good. house style cooking from an amazing woman. the best breakfast I've had for a long time.

The food was very good when it finally came to us. manny did not offer coffee or water while we waited, nor did he explain why it took so long to come to us!
