A&w - Grass Valley

This chain isn't what it used to be. They used to have the best onion rings, but not anymore. Fries and onion rings were greasy and mediocre. But their burgers are still good and probably the only thing worth getting there.

A&W/KFC has vastly improved in the last year. I've left several reviews for the KFC but felt the need to post here too. I've come by several times in the last two months, and they are getting my order right each time. The one time they missed putting corndog nuggets in with my chicken family meal, they made it right and got my corn dogs before I left. The customer service has gone from horrible to excellent. No long waits, even when I have to pull into a parking space. The employees seem happy and are courteous and kind. I'm so happy we can eat here with confidence again. It's KFC, not world class dining. You get consistency. Don't complain about the food unless there's something actually wrong with it. It's good food for fast food. And on the cheaper side to feed myself and 3 adult males.

Came by for a quick bite while traveling back home. Very mediocre. Cashier did his job, the food came in a timely manner. Food was mediocre at best. Fries a little overdone, burger was lukewarm. Store was a little dirty. The napkin dispenser had quite a buildup of dust, as did its surroundings. Soda and utensil counter probably does not get wiped nightly. I’d go elsewhere next time.

I absolutely love the cheese curds. Unfortunately, they have become a part of shrinkflation. The container is smaller than ever and also more expensive.I use the drive thru, so there isn't much for atmosphere there.The parking lot is dirty and usually has shady looking characters about.

Food prepared well, but for some reason, they are out of chicken tenders too often.
