I like to be fair when providing feedback, so this was my experience not based on feelings but actions. We had reservation at 7pm we arrived 6:55pm and checked in and waited quite a while but not sure how long. All I know is we didn't start eating anything until after 8pm. We weren't even offered bread until I saw others receiving it so I asked for it but it arrived after the food so pointless. Others arrived after and sat and ate prior to us (not to get into my head and make assumptions bit could be whatever reasons) they were thoughtful and placed rose pedals on our table for our anniversary so bonus points. I think atmosphere was top notch. It was very busy and maybe over packed but my observation. I think food was ok and prices were over for the quality or level of service received. Maybe our waiter was shirt staffed or not 100% there but even our fries didn't come and we had to ask and so then we canceled it because why pay for it if you're not going eat it because you're full at that point... just a bunch of things that annoyed me that honestly at this level or demand of level of service that this restaurant is trying to portray should be met with expectations. I believe that service is key and for the kind of money I dropped I expected to be catered to. I've been to basic restaurants that give you that, hell, I was joking with my wife that we should've went to Texas road house, we always get pampered and we love their food but sometimes you want to get spoiled and that didn't happen here. Just to compare, we were at crown block at the reunion tower and I expected to pay more there being the view and location you're getting but we got the same amount of food and paid less. Maybe we're not regulars or fancy people but make everyone have an experience that will leave them wanting to come back. Went to Perry’s for happy hour on a Sunday evening with family. Very nice bar with great staff and fairly high prices. I enjoyed it. Recommended. Service: Dine in
We love Perry’s, and go frequently. However tonight we had a mixed experience. The food was still delicious, but service was less than expected. Our server greeted us and took our drink order, and then disappeared for 20 minutes. I ordered a bottle of wine and he said there was a much better one at the same price point. I always order the same wine but said sure, we’ll try it. It wasn’t as good as the one we typically order and was $20 more, which felt deceptive. But no problem. We had bottled water but had to serve ourselves, as no one ever filled our glasses. We were starving, and having to wait 20 minutes just to put our appetizer order in felt like forever. We were told the kitchen was closing and if we wanted dessert we had to order it now (of course, after waiting so long to be able to order, no surprise). We were still halfway through our entree when the ice cream was brought out, which felt very weird, and we felt rushed. Our server also didn’t have the best tableside manners, when we would say thank you he’d either not respond or just say uhuh. Chik fil- A does it better. When paying our check we got the bill back to sign but they kept my credit card, so after waiting forever to see if our server came by to ask him, a manager eventually came by and asked if we were missing a credit card, because one had been left by the machine. Overall we did not feel welcome and despite having great food, the service put a huge damper on our experience.
You already know the Friday lunch pork special is the best. I cannot recommend this place enough. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $50–100 Recommended dishes: Bananas Foster, Sprouts, Perry's Famous Pork Chop
