Great Scott - Grapevine

To begin your evening, I highly recommend trying the refreshing Great Gatsby or the Great Mrs. Scott cocktails. They are perfect, especially on a hot day when you want something cool but not overly sweet. My two favorite dishes on the menu are both found in the small plates section. Nana's crab cake and the pork belly lollipops are absolute perfection. As a self-proclaimed foodie, I can confidently say that there are not many dishes or places in the area that I would fight someone for the last bite of. These dishes are worth fighting for. The crispy pork belly lollipops with the Orange raisin Habanero jam are my top choice. The combination of sweet, salty, and savory flavors is incredible. The crab cake with bechamel sauce is also outstanding, with a light and crispy exterior that perfectly complements the sweet and tender crab meat inside. Great Scott has mastered the art of cooking crab cakes without overpowering the delicate flavor of the crab. If you appreciate a true culinary experience, I highly recommend visiting Great Scott.

My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary tonight at Great Scott! We enjoyed perfectly made cocktails - an Irish Catholic and a Sazerac. We started with the delicious and reasonably priced Chefs Charcuterie board. The Housemade Mozzarella from the small plates menu was creamy with a nice snap. We didn't order entrees this time, but our waitress, Ariel, informed us about the TexTell beef and grass-fed ribeyes for our next visit. For dessert, we tried the Sticky Toffee Pudding and loved it. Danielle, one of the owners, came to ask about our meal and we happily told her how much we enjoyed the food and service. We can't wait to return to this new favorite restaurant!

Great Scott is a fantastic discovery in the mid-cities! The charcuterie is made in-house, and they offer a wide and intriguing selection of beer and wine, as well as crafting honest cocktails. Although the menu is not extensive, the food is excellent, delightful, and unexpected. The owners, a couple, are constantly moving around, checking on guests and engaging in conversation.

This place is a gem! I cannot put into words how wonderful this restaurant is; the food is of highest quality, and ALWAYS cooked to perfection. I'm such a picky eater, and only eat red meat every few months, and this is the only place I will go to get my filet (bc I can only eat the most rare filet possible, so it MUST be fresh . The duck, the elk are also incredible! If you're not into meat, they have a brick fire oven that they bake their pizzas in!! The owners are the most gracious hosts -I always look forward to saying hello. Their wine list is impeccable, if there's something not in the menu that you would like, your server will do everything possible to make it happen. Honestly, I just can't say enough good things about this place, so please go here if you haven't and see for yourself! (Ps, you will not leave this place hungry!! Portions are very healthy!!

I had a wonderful birthday dinner experience here! For my birthday I wanted somewhere fun, with great drinks without being a suit and tie kind of place. I found Great Scott on yelp and decided to try it. The ambience was fun, the drinks were amazing. They had a great wine list! The food was really good I just wish the portions might be a little more for the price. The service however made the day. Friendly staff (hostess, waitress, owner, runners); everyone was wonderful! I received a free dessert since it was my birthday as well. Great experience, will definitely go back for more charcuterie board and wine!
