Bidrage med feedbackDrove all the way down to get Maryland blue crabs. Was not disappointed. Will have to make this a summer destination? just to get blue crabs. Never had blue crabs like this before. So much lump crab meat, so delicious. We also tried the fried soft shellcrabs which were also great. Best tip I can give is.. just get the blue crabs and as large as you can get them. Don?t evenlook at anything that is not local caught. We also tried the snow crab legs and thought? the blue crabs were so much better.. weshould get more blue crabs.
We travel from NOVA every year for crabs. Deck is the best part. Crabs are good but were a bit light for jumbos at $142/dozen. Service was friendly and thorough.
Let me tell you the scenery was the best part of being here. I have had crabs, snow crab legs, seafood in general all over. NEVER, have I EVER had seafood that tastes just like it came straight out of the water. Trust me LOOKS ATE AND DECEIVING! FLAVORIS EVERYTHING! Maybe that is a thing for alot of people, but for me it just did not work for my palette. I have enjoyed crabs inFlorida, Baltimore, and countless restaurants that had so much flavor steamed in that did ot over power the succulent taste ofmy seafood. This was an altogether different experience for me. One that I will NOT repeat. The service was not at all greatfor a party of 15. We had to sit at 2 different tables and could not celebrate together as a family should. On a high note thescenery was gorgeous!
This is always a busy place. We ordered oysters, large blue crabs, soft shell crab and steamed shrimps. The soft shell crab was amazing. The blue crabs this time was not as sweet as last year but they are still much better than the ones we had inHouston and Dallas this month. Oysters on the half shell had lots of shell inside the oysters since there were lots of othershell fish on the oyster shell.
