La Roe's - Grand Rapids

Charming little restaurant, makes for a great end to a day of kayaking in great speeds. The rear deck is beautiful and you watch all small birds on the feeders. Food is delicious, soups seem made in the house and die for. The reels they bring to the table are super light and fluffy. Not crazy expensive.

My wife and I have come here for years and are never disappointed. This is by far one of our favorite restaurants around! Located in picturesque Grand Rapids, Ohio, on the banks of the Maumee River, this beautiful restaurant is surrounded by many picturesque shops and lots of history. The atmosphere both inside and outside is very warm and welcoming. The selection of dishes and drinks are plentiful and always delicious! The staff is wonderful and the owner, Dave LaRoe is always there to welcome you and is so polite and friendly! This is really an excellent restaurant and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a fantastic culinary experience!

Foods always good. Service is wonderful but sometimes hard to get a table and fills up during popular times.

We found the ribs dry and average. The grilled shrimp was good. Warm, spiced wine was amazing. We sat on the patio, the view was absolutely beautiful and relaxing.
