Bidrage med feedbackWhen I lived in Grand Island this was my favorite spot to eat. Now that I've moved away I dream of going back there just to get some drunken noodles. Best food in town and maybe the whole state!
This place was really good! I was skeptical because I’ve had some bad experiences with even good rated restaurants in smaller towns, but they delivered! They also have order online available, so we did that ahead of time picked it up.Atmosphere: very cute inside with quite a few plants and chill music!I decided to try their popular Pad Thai with beef and it was probably the best I’ve had (even compared to many places around Phoenix, AZ). It was a little bit sweet and it had the perfect amount of lime, peanuts, and vegetables. I added 1/2 Tbsp spice and it was great. My mouth didn’t think it was spicy but my nose did. My boyfriend didn’t like the beef and compared it to the taste of liver, but I disagree! He got the drunken noodles with chicken which he really liked minus having onion despite his requests to leave that out. The noodles were much softer than other drunken noodles we’ve had, but he liked that. It came a little spicy in his opinion without adding any spice.Sticky rice cake: I was very curious about this as I’ve had sticky rice, but this sounded better. It was good, particularly the outsides where it was crispy and flavorful (buttery salty taste). The inside tasted a lot like plain sticky rice. I wouldn’t get it again just because it’s a thick patty of rice and only the outsides were particularly delicious. If they made balls or thinner patties that would be perfect!Egg rolls: my boyfriend didn’t love these compared to other egg rolls because it had the paper of a spring roll. I thought it was okay, but I don’t usually like the taste of pork, so I only had a bite.Mung bean sticky rice:This was really good! My boyfriend thought it could be sweeter, but I thought it was perfect. It was a large portion of rice again, so we didn’t eat much. It also tastes slightly gritty, perhaps this is because of the mung beans, but I would get it again as a dessert, it was good!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian substitutes for all noodle dishesParking: Small free parking lot
My pad see ew was tasty despite the rice noodles were mushy and balled up. Usually the food is excellent. Again, even though the consistency and presentation was sub par, it was delicious.
I was just stopping through the city and decided to stop in here for a quick bite, and my god this is some of the best Chinese/ Thai food I have ever eaten!! I’m surprised this guy isn’t like a world class chef. The food was super high quality and amazingly priced.Grand Island, Nebraska is blessed to have this place, y’all better get in there and tip this man make sure he stays in business for a long time ?
On cross country drive we decided to spend night in Grand Island. It was after 7pm and we wanted food that was fresh and tasty. Sticky Rice filled the bill completely for us—a vegan and an omnivore. Easy online ordering, ready for pickup, cheerful staff, great prices and tasty food. We had 2 soups, pad thai, and a chili noodle. Sticky Rice is making me question my east coast bias.Vegetarian options: They have vegan options that were fabulous—best vegan pad Thai I have ever had.
