Friendly casual atmosphere but what impressed my friends and I was the quality of food. You would never know it was so good from there unassuming exterior. We ordered several dishes because we wanted leftovers. The tempura vegetables blew us away! Next time I will try the soup
When you are in Niagara falls, you have to lower your expectations on food choices if you are from a big city. After having burgers and fries on our road trip. We were looking to have something flavourful. When we got there we were the only people in the restaurant. That scared the hell out of me. It's a family run Burmese restaurant serves Thai and few Indian dishes. I usually don't like when restaurants try to serve few different cousins. Usually nothing comes out good. But surprisingly food was good. Friendly staff. MJ was very efficient. Food came out fast. But place is dark. Black table clothes makes it even darker. But you will leave there tummy full.
The food is really good! But the service is not your typical restaurant service, our waitress maybe spoke 2 words total. I would actually get it again but probably for takeout
Decided to give this restaurant a try based off of the 4 star reviews. Overall a decent experience, really nothing to brag about nor would I return. We were the only table in there for dinner on a Sunday. The service was provided by a younger female who just didn’t seem to want to bother to provide actual customer service. Probably daughter or granddaughter of owners. Set down the menus without saying anything. No greeting, didn’t ask for drink order, kept walking away while we were trying to order food. Food was done well but again, nothing spectacular. Portions were single portions instead of the traditional sharing-portions for Asian cuisine. Crispy pork was listed as a specialty but was cut small which caused it to dry out. Fish curry, the fish was moist and cooked well but curry sauce was underwhelming. Chicken satay was dry and tasteless unfortunately. If the service was better I would probably give other menu items a go, but unfortunately the service ruined the dining experience. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years and I will tell you that if you trained your workers better and taught them the important of service and hospitality, you will probably get more customers through the door.
