Gilly's Family Restaurant - Grand Forks

The Almond Chicken, and fried zucchini and mushrooms were my favourite dishes. The food was all hot and fresh, and the service good.

I could not believe what **** food this is. The buffet was deep fried fake meat city. The almond chicken was not real chicken but some sort of sliced white stuff covered in batter. The crab was fake. The scallops were hard and gross looking....The chow mein were orange noodles and tasteless. The best part of the meal was the purple jello...no joke.don't waste your money here.

I have never rated a place terrible before.. I actually usually only leave reviews that are positive, but this place I had to review terrible.. I cannot actually rate the food quality cause apparently the owners don't actually want customers.. This is the second time...I have attempted to eat here, both times there has been no broccoli or vegetable selection in the buffet.. The pan that shows some baked on reminance of what appears to be broccoli is there and labeled.. They say the restaurant is open till 8.. I was there at 6:30 on a Saturday night!! I have experienced this twice now.. I come in notice the empty trays and asked if it would be possible to get some vegetables refilled? Both times now they say no! Not busy enough should of been here earlier! W T F it's 6:30 pm on Saturday? I said well then I will go elsewhere.. They said fine you leave.. I guess customers are not important! I will never even attempt to visit this place again! Well done owners of Gillys your only 2 spots from the lowest rated place in Grand Forks! I hope you become the worst place cause it amazes me you have any customers when you treat them like dirt!
