Nostalgic atmosphere, with century old school items on the walls. The menu covered quite a range of tastes. We had Ratatouille and Fish & Chips. Both were beautifully done, fresh & fulfilling. Service was very good. We must return more than once now to try other menus items like Nasi Goreng and roasted chicken and....and...
I'm a frequent patron and have had family work at the Schoolhouse Restaurant. The food is always served hot and delicious. Have been disappointed a few times by the service however.During our last visit we entered the restaurant which was busy, we stood for 5 minutes while servers walked past us with no eye contact and no acknowledgement. When we finally were attended to, we were told that even if we chose to sit outside that they were at least 3 tables behind by an additional waitress. I have read the rules of etiquette on the back of the dessert menu, do they not apply to your servers as well? Very disappointed that we could not have breakfast there, but even more disappointed by the rudeness of your servers.
We eat here most of the time we are in Grand Bend. Food and service are always good. Always good to make reservations or eat late to avoid crowds.
We were dying for a good home cooked meal and we found it here. Amazing food and great daily specials. I had the meatloaf and my wife had stuffed trout. All the food was fresh and hot. Delicious and great service.
