I prefer not to even think about our bad experience, otherwise I need to write a book, for both, the kitchen and the service, I am sorry, but if they are not able to manage 40 clients (full) on a Saturday night, then is better for them to do any other activity.
Caciosteria is somehow strange. Talking about environment, it is really nice. It has its own ambiance, with local food and wine exhibited all around the place, nice closed veranda, exhibition of salumi and formaggio they offer that day. So, about ambiance you should not be worried. What about food. Here it is more complicated. They have some amazing things, like great cut meat, good pasta, they do some inspiring innovative experiments with classical local food, like with their own ribollita version, But sometimes you also get just average food as well, especially with meat. Overall, I do recommend it, it is one of best restaurants around Porretta Terme.
Original place, a small shop, a small trattoria. you can eat as from the menu, or you will be listed out the menu. you wanted to eat Tuscan and we ordered a Maremma soup, a Florentine (without fillet) with large plate of vegetables. then intrigued for the store cheeses of various proceeds with chestnut honey. home wine, water and coffee. lunch and price we found them great. before the ocire, you could just buy the cheeses obtained before. if you are looking for an informal place is recommended

I've known the caciosteria for years, and it never disappoints. the place is beautiful and very nice, and the food is amazing.
