Went to lunch with a few colleagues - was a bit worried it would take longer than one hour, but was presently surprised that they served pretty quickly. I ordered the cordon blue and potatoes. Came with a delicious salad - I love their dressing. Everything tasted super. The service was excellent. The price was reasonable! Recommended.
This hotel and restaurant have been around for many years. It is centrally located in downtown Grafenwoehr, right next to the Rathaus. I have been coming to Zur Post since I first joined the Army back in 1986. My mother is from this area and if you are looking for good German food, this is a good place to come. They have a large area, that can accommodate a fairly large group. I have had their sauerbraten, schweinbraten, schnitzel, etc., I have no complaints, they do a great job. We have brought family members with us to eat their and the schnitzels are bigger than the plate! You get a lot for your money and its really good. I recommend a visit here while you're in town.
Ate here one night and the food was good. Good potions and good prices to match. I ate some of my husbands food in addition to mine because it looked really good that I just had to try it.
I went to the restaurant has a change of pace from the my hotel restaurant (it was ruhetag there). I tried the Jagerschitzle. Everything seem rushed (it was not late). My salad came out and it was good. But before I was halfway through the main course arrived. So much for vorspiezen (appetizers). The main course jab bee premade -- it came out way too quickly. It was salty. A little work on service timing and food prep and they could hold their own with other German restaurants nearby.
