Bidrage med feedbackThis place is a bit outside of Schweinfurt, in a small town called Grafenrheinfeld. The food is German, a little on the fancy side, but still affordable and still very good. Portions are fair (a very decent plateful)It's safer to get a reservation. They have a beergarden and the staff wears semi-traditional clothing.Recommendable!
We have eaten at the Alte Amtsvogtei several times. Often it is crowded and you need a reservation. This time it was not. The menu is typical for the region, but not out of the ordinary. We were all satisfied with our meals, but everything was memorable. The service was what you expect, nothing more and nothing less. Food preparation was OK, but my meat was surprisingly tough. The wine selection is also nothing more than average. I am surprised at some of the rave reviews. As I said, we eat there periodically, but it is not a favorite.
I have been to this restaurant twice this year and entertained large groups of fiends and family each time. The food is authentic and well prepared. From the goose around Christmas time, to pork roast, schnitzel, sauerbraten, etc. it was all good. Good draft beer and local wine is also available. The prices are very reasonable. The total cost for nine people with soup, entree, coffee/espresso/cappuccino and some dessert including tip was 165 Euros. This will be one of our regular meeting/dining places with family and friends in the Schweinfurt area.
This Restaurant in that lil town had catched my eye. it was right next to a wonderful church. we didn't heard about that restaurant and just tried it out. that was the best thing we could do. it was so delicious. sauerbraten with klosse and wiring...hmmmmm how delicious. still have the taste in my mouth.
