Cafe Restaurant du Saut de Gouloux

Nice location, decor and service. Food was nice, nothing fancy, but did seem a bit pricey for what you got. Ordered 3 course €27.50 menu with snails in cream and puff pastry to start, bit bland. Pork main and steak were good but nothing special, portions not that large, and cheese for dessert. With house wine and an aperitif. If the food was exceptional would have justified the price but as a nice place for lunch am not sure it was worth it.

A cold day but such a warm welcome.Freshly cooked...and very well cooked...in fact everything was cooked and presented and served with love and passion. Splash out and go for the €27 menu. You won't regret it though I am sure that everything else was just as good.

We were on a 2cv rally and passed this lovely restaurant when in need of sustenance. We had an amazing cheese and bread board. The gentleman who served us was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. The location was lovely, surrounded by trees and a river. Ample parking too.

We absolutely loved this place and can't wait to go back some fine day. enjoyed lunch on sunny day on terrace looking out over the river and trees. A good choice of lovely french food, not fussy but beautifully presented and tasting fabulous. Very relaxed atmosphere , attentive, friendly staff who could not do enough to make us feel welcome. Vegetarians are not so well catered for sometimes in France but they went out of their way to ensure I had something lovely to eat. It is a very versatile place, in that you can eat something simple or go for 3 or 4 course menu.
