I went to the palace after the cold tour. The price was not so bad at all and the food was pretty good. My mother doesn't like sausages, but she even enjoyed the good thuringian food.

The hotel is conveniently located next to the castle, initially looks a bit cute, although the decor may be too cheesy for some. The menu is on site with local products. Why only two stars? One order of four was grounded and served only when the rest of the table was almost ready to eat. The vegetarian dish, pasta with vegetables, was a mixture of over boiled (pasta) and raw (ice) without much in the way of taste (the two people who try to agree on it) . A complaint led only to the fact that the cook was at the court. Along with the rather bold price for the quality of food that was generally served, there is no way that I can recommend this.

It's true that you don't find a hot kitchen here, but the restaurant doesn't make any such demands. It is a traditional German restaurant and what they do, they do well. A beautiful setting next to the castle is the interior authentic and beautiful. I had a pork that was... delicious and tender. My partner went for bratwurst and sauerkraut and was very happy with it. The refreshing beer was refreshing: good quality. It is true that the manager had a very restless way, but our waitress was very pleasant, friendly and efficient. All-in-all a very pleasant experience.

Voor alle delen van het slot heb je meer dan 3 uur nodig. Dan zit om de hoek in het bijgebouw dit restaurant. Konden vanwege het weer helaas niet in de tuin zitten, en kregen een tafel in het restaurant zelf, dat er als een oostenrijkse bierstube uitzag. Maar een uitermate vriendelijke bediening in klederdracht en zeer smakelijke, mooi opgediende lunch.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und tolle sehr gut schmeckende Thüringer Küche.Immer wieder ein lohnender Ausflug, bei dem der Gast freundlich und nett begrüsst wird.Bei schönem Wetter sind die Sitzplätze im Garten unbedingt zu empfehlen.
