Terrible size portion of scampi 4 pieces chips and mushy peas including alcoholic drink cost 9.01 it does say 4 whitby scampi on menu but still rubbish value. I love scampi but weatherspoons rip off drinks are still a good price though but your food portions ****.

Tables left dirty and not cleared outside people smoking at tables today at gosport needs more staff and proper management

I visited as part of a party of 12 veterans after one of our members was refused entry into the Castle Tavern. We were made very welcome and were even able to re arrange the table layout to make it easier for our disabled members.

Refused to serve my partner alcohol and the reason given was because they couldn't recognise his accent so couldn't tell if he was intoxicated or it was his usual way of speaking. Absolute joke.

This is a no thrills basic pub in the centre of Gosport. It represents excellent value for money for both food and drink. We found the serice when ordering to be slow and not especially welcoming which was the down side of our visit. All round this pub it is best described as cheap and cheerful
