Cliff - Gorleston-on-Sea

For a nice lunch in the cliff hotel, to the valentinstag. the staff was very friendly and receptive, smiling beautiful and accompanied us to a table. the menu was varied and cheap, our order was soon taken and our drinks picked up. I had the chicken with cheese, and stem broccoli, while my wife had seabarschfilets and our friends had fish and chips. it was all beautiful and tasted excellent, with the food and the service I would recommend it very much.

Really nice hotel. Great views of the sea and sandy beaches. Large clean modern rooms. Great bar and food. Reception team very friendly but special praise to Kyle S who looked after us during drinks and dinner really fun guy and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks Kyle.

Service was absolutely fantastic yet again. Our third time visiting in the last two weeks and we always leave impressed. (Tia W provided us with extremely great service) Made sure my prawns were gluten free and ok for me to have. My elderly nan saw the table next to us having a chocolate sundae which unfortunately she can’t eat along with any of the other desserts but Tia went to the kitchen to ask them to make her favourite (Eat and Mess) which wasn’t even on the menu. Made our evening. Credit to the team.

The fish and chips were excellent. Although we experienced a long wait due to the restaurant being busy, the staff was polite. However, it was evident that they had not been trained adequately. We encountered multiple instances where orders were missed or forgotten. I rated the restaurant four stars because the food and drinks were delicious, which is ultimately why we chose to stay. I believe the staff requires more support, which falls under the administration's responsibility. I suggest assigning two waitstaff to each table so they can take full responsibility for those customers.

What a delightful surprise! The restaurant is more spacious than it appears and features beautiful decor. I recently had lunch there with my wife, who had recommended it. Now I understand why! The fish and chips were excellent, and I enjoyed a local pint of ale. The service was outstanding as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait to return.
