Firepot Cafe - Gordonton

I ate here with a colleague recently, we were limited by time but the chef produced the most marvelous scrambled eggs on toast in a short space of time and at a very reasonable cost.  Well done everyone.

Me and my husband were greeted warmly, a bit of a wait on the food but it was better than average, i liked my snapper with risotto and my husband seemed to have enjoyed his steak sandwich.

Outstanding food and warm atmosphere. Reading some people's reviews I was thinking: Are we talking about the same place? I have been there twice and on both occasions all food was outstanding and tasty ...very innovative, service a bit slow but to make up for that real nice and friendly people... on both occasions it was super full we had to book and therefore you can't expect to have your food within 15 minutes.They serve a mighty breakfast...people reviewing this superb place...should check ...maybe they visited another place!

I love this place, sadly I just moved to the other side of the world and won't be back for a while.<br/ <br/ Great staff, even better coffee and food. I love the modern cafe in the country feel. There is so much parking and the locals all seem to be regular customers.<br/ <br/ I would be there having a nice foamy caramel hot chocolate right now if I could!

My husband and I have visited this hidden Waikato Gem now for several years and it seems to get better and better. What used to be a great place to stop off down the line, has somehow got even better now that they have the best Allpress coffee we have tasted south of the Bombay's by a significant margin. We now love the fact that they are open on Friday's for dinner especially and have enjoyed incredible food and service every time. On reading some of these reviews, whilst people are entitled to their own opinions, we struggle to believe that those people have dined at the same café. As owners of several eateries over the years we would be proud to produce the quality food and service the Firepot team provide. We hope that if you somehow have had an unacceptable experience that you have passed on your feedback directly to the Firepot so they are aware and can improve for your next visit. My husband who is a chef would always value any feedback good or bad directly as I am sure these guys would also. As far as we are concerned if you want the best coffee, and one of the best meals and café food around this is the place to go!
