Great barbecue! Some of the best in Virginia. Wonderful food.

One of the best BBQ places I have visited. I recommend ordering online and being prepared to stand in line(although the line does move pretty quick). Definitely worth a short wait. I recommend pulled pork, ribs, brisket, and pork belly. The sausage was a little too salty for my taste and sides are just ok. Portions are decent for the price. Definitely worth a visit when in the area.

The food is always good, and I definitely recommend the pumpkin muffins, which are so nice and fluffy. If you're in a pinch for time, though, don't order the ribs. My whole order was ready at check out, accept a 4 piece rib, unfortunately, I had to awkwardly wait for 20 minutes near the front. I was actually there so long that another customer thought I was an employee and asked me questions about the restaurant and if I could get him a menu. That was honestly a first for me. The bbq is really great, and pulled pork is usually ready to go.

3rd time stopping here. First time was great. The last 2 which includes today, were pretty bad. Ordered the sliced brisket platter. $20 for a brisket platter and you get 6 ounces of meat and that doesn’t include sides or a drink? But I’m asked what 2 sides would I like? Kinda deceiving? Maybe it’s on the menu but when in line and it’s busy it’s kinda hard to take your time and figure things out. It’s been a couple of years since my last visit. So brisket, corn bread, some fries and a drink for one person after tax and tip…over $35….i honestly felt like I was mugged. Then I wait for the food and the brisket was so dry none of the sauce even helped it. I understand it cost a lot to keep a place like that going since meat is really expensive but $20 for 6 ounces of meat is absolutely criminal.

The food was good and typical BBQ. Fresh and their own variations. We are from Missouri and the coleslaw wasn 't to our standards. We like a little 'dressing ' with ours. The BBQ was ok but nothing exciting. I was hoping for something more, maybe a secret spice or something. This location gets very busy, so if trying visit early! We had a family of 7 and everyone felt it was ok...just nothing we would return to if in the area again. Worth trying once at least so don 't let my review turn you away!
