El Rinconcito - Gonzales

Food was really good and fresh!! Service was great as well. We were grabbing a drink next door at the tap house and they brought our food over. Super nice of them.

Not sure how to post without rating but we came here thinking that they open late. Turns out it got turned into a different restaurant now. And closed.

Just passing through and found this gem! Food was very tasty and authentic. Portions are huge and drink menu was excellent and alot of choices. Service was kind of slow but food is worth the wait.

The michelada was good. Only reason why I didn't rate this place a 4 was because the salsa was terrible. The salsa that comes with the chips is nice because it's free but it has zero spice to it. Pointless. The salsa that came with the tacos was the same thing. Absolutely no spice and in my opinion. The salsa makes the taco either great or terrible. The tacos seemed to be pretty good aside from one shrimp taco being served on a tortilla that was falling apart. I guess if you prefer non spicy salsa, this place would be amazing to you. Usually I'll at least have a jalapeño or Serrano on the side but that wasn't served or offered. Maybe coming on a Sunday to simply drink will boost my review. The huge positive is their prices on the tacos are great. Under 2 dollars for simple tacos can rarely be beat. Entire meal was 25 dollars but the michelada was like 10 to 11 dollars so aside from the beer, price is amazing. I will go back and try something else but I will bring it home to add my own salsa. Will update review then

Really worth stopping if you're on the 101. Excellent food, made to order, extremely clean. The pupusas and mixed fajitas were especially good.
