Bidrage med feedbackWhile we decided to drink at this place on holiday in saint malo. beautiful place for a drink with beautiful staff.
They needed a long time to serve us (30 mins plus.) but most restaurants in saint malo do. a magarita pizza and a partly chips ordered. our pizza came out first, no chips, we waited 15 minutes extra. we then asked one of the waitresses where our part is the chips. we will get two pieces of chips instead of one. I myself and my partner just fucked, we didn't complain because it was so good.
Delicious hearty and sweet crepes and fast, friendly and efficient service. a light mix over a job wins this 4 stars, otherwise would have been 5.
Wandering in the narrow alleys of the old walled city, each second caffe offers to lunch krups. we chose randomly, based on the availability of a table in the sun, and chose the galette biquette and the galette montagnarde. both came with an salad, and. were fresh and fill, no huge serve, but at € 8.90 everyone, great worth. with a glass wee and a cola we were happy with the 24 € shaft.
We came across this restaurant whilst walking around it looked nice and the prices were reasonable so we decided to go for it! We had a very pleasant meal. Three courses were E24, two courses E21 and the Plat du Jour was E17. The...restaurant was bright and airy and the lady serving our table was helpful and friendly. We went for the E24 menu and the E21. We both had the smoked salmon starter, which came with toast and salad. It was tasty but unremarkable. My husband had the fish of the day served with a cream-red pepper sauce with rice and salad, which, he said, was very nice. I had the lamb-shank, which was really good, falling off the bone and the thyme gravy was delicious it was served with sliced fried potatoes (I suspect in duck fat) which were really gorgeous. We had a bottle of Rose which cost E16.50, it was ok, but could be bought in a supermarket for no more than four or five euro, if that much, and I must say I resent this kind of mark-up. I later noticed a board offering pitchers of wine for E8.50, which was not shown to us with the wine list, although the menu board was brought over with the menu!! My husband enjoyed his dessert. All in all it was a very pleasant meal. However, there was one thing that annoyed me, and that was, almost before our knife and forks were put down, the plates were whipped away. It was good home style cooking, but a bit pricey, as nearer the port gate, as we left the old town, a more up-market restaurant was offering four and five courses starting at E27 and E29 with a wine list starting at E15. So, don't assume getting away from the port gates is much less expensive! Have a good look around.
