Sushi Train Benowa - Gold Coast

Both of your staff on 04/10 are poorly trained. The young one is tone deaf to the point she looks like she hates her job. The older one can hardly speak English and got the wrong items three times. When asking for mayo, she took the dish, didn’t return it then proceeded to just stand at the front of the restaurant....

OK so this is not about there food or restaurant, its about poor staff hygiene. Today I went to Benowa gardens shops to by lunch, after I had finished lunch I thought I'd best use toilets before heading back to work, while there one of there staff members also came in and used the loo, and you guessed it as soon as he finished he went straight out without washing his hands, I was so annoyed at this I rang and complained to the manager or female staff member, she said they have to wash hands before returning to the kitchen, I told her that may be the case however as a member of the public l can only go on what I see, I told her that right now with Covid-19 around we all have a responsibility to be more vigilant with hygiene, anyway enough said all reading this will get the point that you maybe putting your health at risk by eating there....beware.

I have been to many Sushi Trains across Australia and this one seems to be the best! The sushi chefs always have a great selection available and it is always fresh and tasty! Has a lot of seating and booths available as well.

I visited Sushi Train Benowa on Wednesday evening around 7pm. After a short wait, we were seated but the food came out very sporadically. We decided to order off the menu, which came out in a timely fashion. We let the children eat first and planned to order afterwards. Around 7.40pm, when I tried to order more food, I was told they were closing early due to running out of rice. I then tried to order chicken Karage but was told there was no chicken available. I was very dissatisfied as it is very surprising for a sushi place to run out of rice. We will not be returning anytime soon.

I enjoyed the sushi train, it was loaded with a wide variety of options, and reasonably priced. The food was very nice and I recommend for a casual quick place to have a meal.
