Naturell - Göttingen

Can easily go vegan. For example, the dish of the day was not-vegan only coz cow cream was added to the veggies - why on earth!? Also, apple crumbs, a vegan classic, was not vegan because of cow butter

Its simple and friendly place with a daily changing menu that contains regional and seasonal dishes, focuses mainly on vegetarian dishes, still a meat dish (often fish It seems that people in Naturell have a healthy diet with ingredients from regional organic farming. When I went there this week during lunchtime, I was definitely the youngest guest and I have already passed in the middle of the 30s. Prices are adapted to the customer's wallets. Göttingen has a lively student scene, but probably none of them would come here as long as Grandma would not invite them; . Somehow I was very well visited and ordered the Mediterranean vegetables on millet for 8€ and a small cup of spring water for 1.7€. It was tasty, but nothing special and I would certainly get it in Berlin for half the price. There was also a sort of cabbage dish and a salad bar. They offered a herbal cutlet separated but no soy, seitan or other high protein veggie food. If you are looking for a genuine vegetarian or even vegan cuisine, visit the monthly buffet at the Student Square (each second Tuesday or the chef of Zeitgeist, which are also listed here at happycow and write a review.

The guest room is a little functional, thanks to the limited possibilities of an old city building, but still 5 stars due to the stable and very tasty, solid vegetarian cuisine for many years. Unfortunately, I can only visit the Naturell sporadic, but was always very satisfied.
