The Sword Inn Gloucester

I stumbled upon this hidden gem and was pleasantly surprised. Despite living in the county for years, I had never heard of this place before. We decided to stop in for a drink while waiting for a carol concert at the beautiful Gloucester Cathedral nearby. The service was quick and the beer was delicious. It reminded me why pubs are such a great social hub. There's just something special about drinking in a pub compared to buying alcohol at the supermarket. Perhaps pub chains just need a bit of marketing to attract more customers. Kudos to the Sword Inn, we will definitely be returning.

Great pub with great atmosphere, staff very helpful and informative as specially Lora and Morgan.

Fantastic pub located in the heart of Gloucester, perfect for all sports enthusiasts. The staff are friendly and I highly recommend it.

This place is fantastic for enjoying a cheap beer. The atmosphere took a bit of a hit when the DJ started playing drum and bass out of nowhere, but it quickly picked back up. They offer a good pint for a reasonable price, so come on in and have some fun!

Nice pub apart from having to listen to bar staff having argument with someone on phone swearing aggressive conversation on phone while serving behind bar. Totally unacceptable behaviour of a member of staff to behave in that way. Not something I want yo listen to when out or being served.
