Bidrage med feedbackHave been visiting Gloucester for years and always stayed at a competitors on Atlantic Ave. Thi A couple of weeks ago, we decided to stay at the Atlantis, as our normal place has become a bit pricey, less friendly and has lost some of its luster since changing ownership. The Atlantis had the same spectacular view at a better price! The rooms and place were immaculate, staff friendly, helpful, breakfast was good, and coffee in room was surprisingly tasty. The grounds were beautifully maintained with lovely gardens, especially around the pool area. The many flowers, were constantly visited by many Monarch butterflies and cool looking dragon flies, which was a real treat to watch. The rooms have balconies overlooking the grounds with breathtaking ocean views. At night we watched the almost full moon rise and reflect across the glistening water. Such a peaceful and magical experience! The only negative thing to say about the place was it was really, really, sad to leave!!! Cant wait to go back
As someone who travels often near and far, I can promise you those who complained in these reviews are generally unhappy people who havent learnt to appreciate the gift of visiting a new destination. The rooms: clean great for the location and price. the view , the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms weren't the largest but who travels to sit in the bathroom?! they had two large mirrors to get ready in front of. the rugs are not my taste but for two nights, its not ruining my trip. The hotel: it's location couldn't be more perfect. you feel away from it all but its 10 min or less to all shops, stores and sights. the pool is sparkling clean and the grounds are lovely. The staff: WONDERFUL! So helpful, friendly and welcoming. the breakfast was great, some might complain that it's expensive and service is slow but isn't everywhere? I can't say enough great things about the team at Atlantic
The place to go for a fabulous breakfast. Each choice is not the same old same old, They are unique and delicious. From omelettes to Texas Toast. Fresh fruit plates are large enough for two. The coffee is wonderful and the staff members make you feel welcomed.
I have to be honest that although the photos and location (across the road from the ocean) are good, when my boyfriend and I pulled up, we were quite disappointed. We paid a lot and had no idea this was just a motel, moldy smelling, with tiny beds marketed as queen sized but we’re actually full sized. The bathroom was tiny. The balcony wasn’t private a strip where anyone could walk by and look right into the room. The place is worth no more than $100 a night. Don’t be tricked. We only stayed one night and left early. I just couldn’t sleep there another night. Will never go back.
I called and they had our info from 15-20 years ago. They made room for us for 2 nights. Every room has a view of the cove, the splashing waves, and there’s a sidewalk! The rooms are clean, contemporary and the beds are comfy. They did not make up our room while we were out, but that may be my fault because I didn’t leave the tag requesting maid service.
