I had been hearing a lot about this restaurant and the accolades they were given in recent competitions here in the USA and in Italy so I decided to take the long drive north to check it out for myself. When looking at the website, I found it easy to navigate and sign up with Mealio to place my order online which I'm glad I did because they had an estimated wait time of just over an hour for my small pizza. I will say that I arrived earlier than that and my pizza was all ready to go so the estimated time on the site seems a bit too extensive and could deter some from placing orders. Walking in, the restaurant looks clean and inviting. The staff were very friendly and took care of me right away. Not much more to say about that as my interactions were quick because I was just picking up my order to go. Now, for the juicy part... I ordered a small (6 slice) pepperoni with onions and black olives. The pizza was piping hot and I had to give it a few minutes in my hand before I could actually take a bite without burning my kisser. But I prefer it to be too hot rather than just warm. First bite impressions were excellent. The sauce was semi sweet and well seasoned. Very very good sauce. I must say that I was also impressed by the freshness of the ingredients. The cheese was especially notable as it wasn't too salty and had wonderful stretch and flavor. They don't over do the amounts of ingredients but rather seem to perfectly balance the amount of toppings as to not overthrow one or the other. The crust was thin but not too thin and had a perfectly cooked bottom with crispness and no burnt flavoring. They season the crust as well which is a nice touch. I can see why they have made waves in the pizza community as being one of the top in the business. They definitely do pizza right and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good pie. I'll be back again to sit down and enjoy a pizza in the restaurant next time I'm in the area. It's definitely worth checking out again.

Romo’s Pizza is home to some of the best pizza in the Capital Region! Romo’s won the World Pizza Cup in 2023. They offer a variety of different pizzas, pastas, salads, wings, calzones, breads, appetizers, sandwiches, and subs. The pizza offers a flavorful taste with a New Haven crust. They add an element of NYC style to their pizza as well. Portion sizes are quite large. Quality is definitely the name of the game here. The restaurant is busy because it is so well known and very good. Large dining area for eating in. Still, most order takeout here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Worth going out of your way to try! Parking: Busy location, can be hard to find a parking space.
What can I say, except that Romo's is one of my favorite Pizza joints of all time! I'm not a local either if that counts for anything. My favorite Pizzas are the Detroit Style and the New Haven Style. The service here has always been the best, the regulars are amazing company while eating, the quality of the food has never been less than good (the majority of the time it's been phenomenal! , and they usually get your food out really quickly. I highly recommend! Parking: The parking lot gets packed. You can park over in the Price Chopper Parking lot and walk over if you must.
