The Garden View Café At The Chicago Botanic Garden

Lovely little cafe. I was very surprised by the burger, they have an actual grill outside and it was fresh and tasty. Sat outside for the view it was so relaxing and beautiful

Few choices and my burger was not very good. Meat was salted unevenly and overcooked.

It was a gloomy, rainy day when I went so I decided to have something to drink macha latte . When it came it’s ice cold so I said I want hot not cold , the lady at the counter insisted that I take it because she will not make any more or I have to pay for a hot drink. I did not remember them asking me if I want hot or cold but the other lady said I ordered “cold” which I did not because the weather is already cold . Another person came I just requested for a refund . The staff are not friendly nor accommodating .

Today I visited the restaurant. I am regretting that I ate there because now I am having stomachaches. Pizza was burnt till black, and the menu said short ribs ravioli but there were no ribs but noodles in super awkward sweet sauces. Also the $20 burger came with cheap chips not with fries. A year ago I had lunch and food was good, seems something has gone wrong there.

Quick and my salmon was delicious. The veggie mix had so many different things and they were all so good! Coffee was good too! Nice break from the walking.
