Clachaig Inn - Glencoe Village

The clachaig is a fantastic guesthouse. this is our second hogmanay in glencoe. the price-performance ratio, the eating and the choice of drink are amazing. if they want a real Scottish adventure, this is the place to come. Of course, the landscape and the walks/activities help to build an appetit. this is a fun place to be.

We were really impressed with the quality of the food and the clean, modern-rustic, very charming dining area. All the food was absolutely delicious with one exception. I'm a very enthusiastic, adventurous eater with a very open mind, so I was excited to try the Highland Game Pie. I could only get five bites down before I gave up. I think the gamey flavors were just too wild for me and the berries added tang (not in a good way) and their seeds added an unpleasant texture. On the much more positive, The Clachaig chicken was very lovely, the melty brie appetizer was wonderful and the fish and chips were just what you hope to get in Scotland. The sticky toffee pudding was top-notch! The drinkers in our group loved the ciders they ordered. An overall excellent experience. Definitely worth stopping in.

Great selection of Ale from local es great bar with real fires and great atmosphere and friendly staff food looked good although I did not eat.
