Bidrage med feedbackWe had a wonderful waitress who provided friendly service at this restaurant. I ordered a special French toast filled with strawberry cake and it was absolutely delicious! My husband had his favorite eggs benedict and our oldest daughter, who is a local, enjoyed the turkey club with fries. The decor was a bit quirky but didn't detract from the overall experience. Our daughter's family also enjoyed the food. Overall, a great meal and fantastic service.
The dining experience was disappointing. The ribs were dry and tough, resembling jerky. The Caesar salad had stale croutons and an unpleasant taste. The pizza was overloaded with cheese and lacked sauce, with the only flavor coming from the melted cheese. The mashed potatoes were like baby food. The restaurant's exterior was lackluster, with a view of dumpsters and a road from half of the terrace. Some paint and plant decorations would greatly improve the ambiance. The only highlight was the helpful and friendly young waitress, who would be better suited for a higher-end restaurant. Overall, I will not be returning as the experience left me very dissatisfied.
I had a great dining experience here for my birthday. While I didn't try the panzerotti myself, some of my friends did and raved about how amazing they were. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner. The prices were also very reasonable.
So after about 10 years I went back to the botschaft. we went to breakfast after we set ourselves, we were greeted by our server. she was very pleasant. we cleaned our menus and took our coffee order. because we knew there were no delays. I ordered a favorite (which tends to be difficult to do right.)i ordered eggs montana (eggs benedict but with peameal bacon)now holidaise sauce is ready or break, and that was a prefabricated packed art, and its not all that impressive. also it was the chefs first time that it was as she is very new so I can't be too hard on her, and the chances are that they usually don't make it from ground up. the eggs were well made and the kartoffels had no seasoning. my friend ordered about simple eggs, bacon and toast, all done to like them. our server came to make sure everything was in order. (one of my pet passports that never see server after food is brought to the table). She took care of us. next to two more tabs. the botschaft is a long restaurant in glencoe that can be a todesknebel for some places. it is clean, friendly and affordable, what they can ask more. (but Hollandaise sauce from scratch). I'm going back, yes, I'm absolutely recommending.
We go there for the breakfast on Sundays. Under new management and the food is great. They are still trying to get their own flair on the menue and so far so good. Prices are a little high for the place.
