Goen - GLEBE

Great quality, service, quantity and well priced. Surprising find as the simple decor and settings did not convey great food. Could now be a regular haunt in old Sydney town.

One of the best in the CBD. Lovely setting, great food! Service was good, cannot remember her name tho! Might go for it again before heading back to Singapore.

After searching Sydney for a good oyako don (steamed chicken, onion and egg on rice) I was so happy to find Goen. It's hard to find oyako don, let alone a really good one, and a very generous serving. This is the best I've had outside Japan. Very friendly staff. Fast service and a good range of lunch specials. Convenient location at the Broadway end of Glebe Point Road.

Did a little shopping at the Broadway Shopping Center and we found our way to Goen. The staff was very welcoming, and since we couldn't decide what we wanted, we ordered a course A and B. We were able to sample different dishes this way. All were super yummy but a bit expensive, however- worth it!
