Our stay was highly overpriced for a tired room. The reception lulls you into a false sense of security. The hotel feels fresh and clean...but the rooms are outdated. We had the pleasure of removing used earplugs from our bed! The rooms had a musty smell to them and the same used sugar packets were outside our rooms in the lobby from arrival to departure. Feels like there are short cuts in the cleaning. Although check out is 11am, the staff were knocking on us at 10am to see if we were leaving. We had one drink in the bar which was pricey. £10 for a large glass of house white. The location is good for restaurants and shops and the staff were friendly.
Just have to say this is worse hotel I have ever stayed in, bearing in mind I 'm a builder and have stayed in rough digs) Room. Tv not working, complained to reception then after 4 times of asking someone actually came to look, could not get it working as sky box was tucked away in a cupboard next to the fridge. We asked to speak to the manager, who I have to say was very very good, she moved us to another room. Very small seaming it 's meant to be executive. For the extra money it 's not worth it. Went for a drink in the bar, ordered 1 pint of Becks to be told sorry we have ran out So I asked for a glass of wine, which was served in a brandy glass, to be told sorry we have No wine glasses .
I stayed here when taking my son to his first football game at Ibrox along with his grandad, we had booked 2x groupon deals for 2x rooms which gave us a slightly cheaper rate but also included a bottle of prosecco which each room which was a nice Brucy bonus. When checking inn the staff were very friendly and sorted out bag drop and the man on reception gave my young lad a bag of haribo which he eagerly scoffed down. They asked if my son liked trains so we had a room up in level 10 1005/04 which had great views looking onto the tracks leading into central. After the football my son really enjoyed watching these come and go from the station while we settled in for the evening. I had to get extra sheet/bedding for the sofa bed for my son which was delivered promptly. A very nice selection of fry up or continental buffet breakfast options in the morning. I would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time I am in Glasgow.
Stayed at hotel this weekend our check in receptionist was very friendly and welcome. They don’t do cooked breakfast during weekend u need to select cooked rolls instead which I thought was strange as I’ve stated in other city centre hotels and had a cooked breakfast. The rolls weren’t very nice we where given a continental breakfast as well which had a good choice but my pan-a-chocolate was 5 days out of date did email hotel but didn’t bother emailing me back so check ur dates on your continental breakfast products. Room was clean but when I stripped bed next day the mattress protector was stained in two places. Apart from this the location is excellent.
