Brunch - Glasgow City

Asked for a soup and sandwich which is overpriced as it is at the advertised price of £6.95 only to be charged £7.20. Enquired why the price was different from the advertised special just to be told that prices went up last week and they haven't bothered to change it yet. The food ..well the sandwich was average. Few bits of chicken with some lettuce with brown bread. Probably costs about 50p all in. The soup...wow.. honestly the worst I've ever tasted. No hint of a broth whatsoever, literally tasted like some overcooked vegetables and lentils in hot water. Had to go in the bin. New owners don't appear to be great. Personally won't be back.

Disgustingly overpriced, I suspect due to the owners shelling out unneccesarily for fancy plates. Take note owners: you can't polish a turd! Its a café, not a michelin star restuaurant. I also heard through the grapevine that they don't pay their staff and that the management style is erratic and abusive, to say the least.

So I placed an order, advised I would wait outside, was sat in car with windows open patiently waiting for them to come out with order...45 mins pass I decided to go back in to check progress (just assumed they had been caught up with other orders) only to find out that my order had been sitting inside waiting all that time!! The owners attitude was absolutely disgusting extremely unwelcoming!! For it being my 1st visit here, I certainly wouldn 't be recommending to anyone!! I don 't normally go with the 1st impressions as believe in giving a 2nd chance, but for this establishment, the whole experience was a shambles...AVOID if you want satisfactory service!! The fact that I paid by card they couldn 't refund back to card is a joke clearly lack understanding that the same method of payment for refund should ALWAYS be the preferred option!! Even tried to give me extra cash than what I paid by card...which I declined as I would rather have had a more welcoming experience!!

Nipped in for a quick lunch,it was cheerfully served and very very tasty, the coffee was good and the chef gave us a generous tasting of his homemade soup,it was the best lentil soup i had ever had and was vegan so anybody could have it. customers were all happy and frendly ,this place is a find.

Brunch was really good .Large helpings of very good food .Good coffee .Friendly Staff .Will be back .
