Small Fries - Girvan

Where to start, the chicken was dry and like string, I offered it to my cat as I couldn’t eat it and my cat rejected it. The chips where nice. When I placed my order online at first it never arrived, so I called them up on the number provided on the website and the owner was hostile and grumpy in his tone and manor. We have been regulars there since they opened and in the shop they are friendly and polite but on the phone it was like I was speaking to a totally different person. They said they tried to deliver it once already, but I was sat next to the door, there was no knock and the door bell didn’t ring despite it saying in big writing “please ring the door bell” they claimed to have called me but I have no missed calls and I checked and put number was correct. Without even taking to me he instantly suspended my account like my custom didn’t matter to him. My 1 star rating is based solely on the fact that he recommended I have the chicken and chip super, stating how great it was because they had run out of lasagne. Supermarket take away chicken is nicer than this over cooked dry and string chicken that I was handed to in a half bent cardboard box. I just hope the photos do this review justice because the photos show how horrible my food was.

Got a haggis supper, haggis ok but chips were bad,as if they were reheated.

My wife and I had fish suppers from here tonight and I have to say it was the best we have had for a long time fish was perfectly cooked in a light crispy batter and the chips were lovely too and the staff were friendly and helpful

10/10 good fish supper and good service from the staff
