Bidrage med feedbackWe ate at The Retreat for my birthday dinner and we’re very pleased we did! The food was amazing and the service very good. We both had the Singaporean prawns for the entree. Perfectly cooked with a hint of chilli. Very tasty. Then I had the duck main, served with a blood orange and cherry sauce. Honestly the best duck I’ve had in a very long time! My husband had a honey shoulder of lamb dish that he also raved about.By ordering two courses each we were given a free bottle of house red and it wasn’t terrible either! So if your looking for sensational food, excellent service, and value for money, I suggest you give this restaurant a go.
My wife and I spent 2 nights in Gerringong over the Anzac weekend, and on the last night we decided to have dinner at the Retreat Restaurant. What a fantastic choice. The atmosphere, service and food were all exceptional. Sometimes the reviews are right on the money.
Dinner last night enter and main, including a Filet Mignon. Beautifully cooked and presented, generous portions and good value for money. Excellent, friendly customer service and an experience which surpasses expectations!
Excellent service from Fiona, the manager. After having to leave another extremely dodgy hotel half an hour away, quite late at night, Fiona took my booking and waited up for me to arrive. I travel constantly for work, have done for many years and have never until tonight walked out of a prebooked hotel. I have also never felt so unsafe or uncomfortable in a hotel as I did tonight. Fiona made me feel welcome and assured me it wasn’t an issue that I had arrived after 12.30am. The room was lovely, I felt very safe, it was extremely comfortable and very pleasant. Thank you Fiona, your kindness and thoughtfulness was very much appreciated tonight. I highly recommend the Park Ridge Retreat. Great value for money, lovely rooms, comfy bed and amazing service from the management. Thanks again Fiona.
We stumbled into Park Ridge retreat in the evening, expecting nothing, and we got a wonderful surprise. The receptionist was friendly and informative and the room on the top floor was beautiful. The veranda was perfect for sunset. Later we went to the restaurant on the first floor; we thought we might as well enjoy the complementary bottle of wine with dinner. Well, I had the best seafood plate, with fresh lobsters, oysters, prawns and squid. For dessert we had the pancetta, what a delicious meal with lovely service and nice atmosphere as well. The bed was comfortable and we both slept so well. We highly recommend the place. We think it is a great value for money.
