Bidrage med feedbackI played there on the morning of August 1st, around 9:00am. This was my first visit to the course, and I 'd read many critical reviews the night before.Overall, it wasn 't as bad for us as others had commented, but there are several things some good and some not so good that stood out.1) August 1st was a Tuesday and according to the Jamaica Run webpage, that 's supposed to be Senior Tuesday where seniors pay $25.00 for 18 holes with a cart. As our party paid our fee, I noticed the other members of our party were charged $30.00. When it was my turn, I literally showed the clerk the rates page from the JR webpage, where it clearly said $25.00 He responded, Oh, that 's an old promotion we 're not doing that anymore. That 's cool, promotions don 't last forever. BUT, if it 's over, then someone from the Course should have updated the rates webpage. OR, failing that, post a highly visible sign at the checkout desk that that offer isn 't active any longer. It was a situation the clerk shouldn 't have been put in, but also a missed opportunity to impress some first time visitors to the course by knocking $5.00 bucks off of our fees. And three days later...its still on the rates page....2) The course property is beautiful.3) Less so the actual condition of the course. The fairways and most of the greens were fine, some of the sand traps were pretty barren and hardened and the cart paths seemed like they belonged to a golf course in Kiev.4) The snack tent staff was great! The two women were hustling and pretty organised. They were friendly and the hot dogs and sodas really hit the spot after the 9th hole.5) Yes, I 'll be back... I understand the course management is aware of the opportunities that need attention and things don 't change overnight. Good luck to Jamaica Run as you address the issues.I look forward to my next visit!
Needs a lot of work. Our group had lots of fun. Will go back again.
The older gentlemen that works in the pro shop are all rude. I get that you all hate your life and make minimum wage but it’s no reason to scream at customers and rush them on the very first hole when we were teeing off 5 minutes early. I play this course almost every weekend, due to it being so close to my house even though it’s very run down and not well kept. I never ever write a review but these guys are so unprofessional it’s comical. I’m keeping all the old geezers in my prayers because if they talk crazy like that again to the wrong person they aren’t gonna make it home to their miserable wives.
Played 18 holes with a cart. First time playing out here in a couple years and it’s definitely gone downhill. The cart paths are covered with potholes, the bunkers are more or less unplayable, and the tee boxes and greens are in very rough shape. In my opinion it is in the worst shape out of any public course I’ve played in the Miami Valley and I’ve played all of them. Not to mention, the staff was extremely rude and unpleasant. My advice would be to not waste your time playing here and go play at another local course like Mound, Pipestone, or Heatherwoode for around the same price and 5x better conditions. My advice to the staff would be to learn to treat your customers better because I have talked to multiple people that have had similar experiences to me. Not a good way to retain customers and it’s sad because I remember it being a pretty nice course and good experience playing here just a few years ago.
Went for Father's Day. It was overbooked. Besides that, it was a nice course. Some of the greens had gopher tracks it was kind of wet in places, which was weird because it hadn't rained previously. It was the most expensive course I've played this year it wasn't worth what I paid.
