Bidrage med feedbackThey always trust the local. two of my top lists, finally, I have them here instead of the famous truth signs. actually they are great. strong spicy for the assam laksa and then the nuss will fried so well, they enjoy the escape version much
Superb Assam Laksa (RM5.50: Small, RM6.50: Big), slightly on the sweet side but very flavourful. The same stall also offers superb Kuih Talam and Chai Kuehm Another stall at the same shop: Char Kueh Tiao (RM7.00: Chicken egg, RM8.00: Duck egg) is superb too where the boss always fried one plate by one plate. very flavourful with wok hey but the prawn isn't nicely cook though (hard and not springy). Currently only open for takeout.
Came here for the laksa, but found myself disappointed with the price and portion. Taste wise its fine, but it lack toppings like vege and fish. Gone were the days where portion was good and the toppings were generous.
My wife loves the Penang Laksa (Wan Dao Tou Assam Laksa) at this coffee shop. Today we had Assam Laksa (sour and a bit sweet), Curry Mee (broth just plain salty), Char Koay Teow (nice, complex umame taste in absence of chili). We also had spring rolls and kuih talam from Laksa stall.
Came here for Laksa but found the CKT to be nicer... Laksa is good but without adding fish it’s too sweet as it barely has any fish in it. Adding fish has better fishy flavours which is how the Laksa should be without making ppl pay more for it CKT was an absolute surprise packed with wokhei, amazing ingredients including Chinese waxed sausages, pork lard, large prawns. Love it! A very good Kopitiam to return.
