Taverne de la Madeleine - Genève

Slow service, food average at best

Very nice looking from outside, unfortunately we were unable to visit it since they do not work on Sundays. Located in a nice area, right beaide the church.

I was born in 1948 in genf. my brother lives in a 30-minute drive. he proposed this restaurant for lunch. and he was right. the place has history, ambiente and good eating too reasonable trips. the personal was alive but not invasive....I loved it!

Although not all dishes are super tasty, the reason why I go to la taverne quite often is the nice variety of suggestion of the day . Prices for theae suggestions are between 28 and 25 chf which is reasonable in Geneva. Apple pie is a...must.

We had the Greek Salad Goat Cheese Salad. Both fresh pleasing to the palate. Nice spot to enjoy the food and take in the sun shine. Merely for the sake had a bottle of Evian. Interesting Taverne as it does not serve alcohol...as per its history, association to temperate women in 19th c.
