The Epicenter restaurant offers excellent food with helpful staff. It proposes original food mixes, it's a real culinary travel, and always a success. Each service is a surprise. The cosy decoration makes you feel home. The staff was very nice and helpful.
Pranzo fantastico, personale gentilissimo! Consiglio l'L’EpiGourmand, sensazionale e fantastico! Tornerò
We were a party of 4. We took the 6-plate menus, 2 classics and 2 vegetarian, at CHF104 francs each. We were well received, and the service was very good. It was wonderful to be served 6 vegetarian dishes one after (rare in Geneva!), without it being Indian, pasta or pizza! The first 4 plates (both menus) were close to excellent, but the 5th plate (both the vegetarian and classic menus) was really not good (meat not good, very fibrous fennel), the 6th desert plate was average. For the wine, 2 persons took the wine pairing with additional wine, and 2 did not. The waiter said they will charge by the glass/type of wine, and would keep track of the number of glasses consumed. The wines were good. My husband paid the bill without checking, left a very generous tip, and we all left. At home I asked the cost, was surprised, checked the bill, and found that they had charged us 8 glasses of wine too many -we had paid CHF 76 too much! . Luckily we were one of only 3 tables sold that night, so they would remember what we consumed. I went back the next day, they accepted the error, said it was not intentional, and reimbursed me. People can always make mistakes, and I am the first person to give the benefit of the doubt. Strangely, before going there, when I had phoned and told the same waiter on the phone that there was a big mistake on the bill, she did not express surprise nor curiosity;and once there, they were not overly apologetic about the mistake, nor about me having to come all the way back. Did they think "rich, happy tourists who won't check the bill"?, I really do not know, I hope not.
