I was in Geneva for two days and visited Bistrot du Boeuf Rouge both days. The ambience, the cuisine, and the spirit of the restaurant made my meals memorable. Carlos and Pascale are great — if you’re in Geneva, I highly encourage you to visit Bistrot du Boeuf Rouge!
A bustling lyonnaise style bistrot in the Pâquis area of Geneva. The decorations and tables were all in the classic style. The service was very welcoming and quick. If you are into steak, this is the place, go no further. From sirloin to fillet steak (Tournedos) and their famous beef wellington (call in advance for it), all are cooked to perfection. They have very good dishes of the day, but for this review, I stuck with the main menu. I had a terrine stuffed with morilles mushrooms to start off, followed by the Tournedos Rossini which comes with an indulgent pan-seared piece of foie gras and dauphinois potatoes as side. The accompanying sauce is both rich and luscious. I finished off with the desert of the day which consisted of a tasty chocolate and carmel tarte. All in all, I would highly recommend visiting this establishment with friends, family, business or even on your own. It is well worth the experience.

Just perfect !!! Brasserie atmosphere, ultra-mastered cuisine and cooking of meats, fast and efficient service, legendary place...what more do you want? Go for it without hesitation.
