Meister Xiao - Gemeindebezirk Ottakring

A Chinese colleague of my husband mentioned this restaurant when he learned we live in the near, and it took us almost six months to finally sit for a meal. Wow. We will never have Chinese delivery again. We have found our source for real...Chinese food. Chinese food in Vienna is terribly hit-or-miss and more so the latter; Meister Xiao is most definitely a Hit. We shared the Chicken with 1.000 Spices (something close to that) to begin, a cold shredded chicken preparation, every bite of which released a new flavor combination, along with steamed dumplings. The main dishes included Gan Bian, dry fried beef strips; Crispy Fried Duck with Garlic Sauce; and a third spicy chicken dish, the name of which escapes me. Each dish was prepared so that we could appreciate the flavor and the spice--not just a heavy dose of spice atop the ubiquitous brown sauce. So much flavor! The restaurant is far, far, off the tourist path, but at the same time it is so close. Trams from the Inner Stadt bring visitors within steps of the restaurant out in one of the city 's leafy green neighborhoods. The recommended follow-up to a meal might even be a walk in the nearby park. Will we eat here again. Most assuredly.

Went here once for lunch or dinner and I must say that it was the best Chinese dish I've ever had here in Vienna. I ordered something with beef and rice and it tasted so fresh. And the restaurant looked clean and had a peaceful...atmosphere as well.

Was in midday menu. equipment old naja. prices near the 10 eur for lunch menu. positiw 3g was checked on the entry. service friendly, but the kitchen was very slow. my face has the food I've finished. I guess you can go to dinner here, but you have to have time. eating was not bad, but in the sum I can't do this locally as some here hypen. card payment works.

For me one of the best Chinese in Wien. If you love the kitchen, you're here. in summer they can comfortably sit in the hospitable garden on the way, a little loud through the traffic. the service is very friendly. the choice of food is exceptional. spring roll and sharp glass noodles stunning. inkfish and roasted trout were delicious. although due forelle was very chili-oily intended! fair prices. clear recommendation! and can be used on unusual feeds. they can eat everywhere.
