Palace of the Orient - Geelong

We have been visiting this Chinese restaurant for many years and never once have we had a less than perfect evening. Their food is so tasty, service is excellent and their prices are unbelievably low. For a great meal with all the trimmings...this is the place!

Four of us had Banquet 3 and it was fantastic , we've eaten here sporadically over the years and its always good , but tonight everything tasted awesome from the Garlic King Prawns to the suprisingly good Sweet chili chicken we all agreed it was the best asian meal we've had in Geelong for years and our host was busy with take-away and other patrons but the food came steadily and hot 5 star monday night meal . This has become our go to for asian/chinese food ........ yum

Well what a lovely eatery We started with Spring Rolls and Asparagus Chicken Soup Bestest Spring Rolls they were delicious and I could quite easily have eaten more Soup was also very good We shared a chicken and Vegetable dish with a small boiled rice and again this was a very nice dish and we both enjoyed it We had Coconut Banana and Pineapple fritter for desert and both were terrific So food was of a great standard and I would certainly return for another meal. The service was good and the waiter asked us several time if our meals were good, and we appreciated the engaging and friendly service as well and the short wait for dishes. The only thing I could be a little critical of was the general feel of the place. It was very plainly decorated but the seating although basic was comfortable. Definitely worth eating at this restaurant

Ordered home delivery, although the food is always great, if you dont have time to wait usually 1.5 hours and make follow up calls, order delivery from elsewhere. Great food, such a shame they let themselves down so badly on this one aspect.
