The Nags Head - Gedling

I recently had a wonderful dining experience at The Nags Head in Woodborough. It was my first time dining out in several months and everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we were served efficiently and politely while adhering to the Covid guidelines. We were required to wear masks when walking through the pub to the outdoor seating area, which was not an issue. I highly recommend The Nags Head and look forward to returning soon.

When we entered the restaurant, the manager greeted us and said he would be with us shortly. We explained that we all needed to use the restroom first. After we came out, the manager asked if we had face masks, to which we replied that we were exempt from wearing them. He then asked if we had an exemption card, but we did not have one as it is not required by law to prove exemptions. We had visited the restaurant several times before without any issues. Despite politely explaining our exemption, the manager tried to refuse us entry. We decided to sit down, but within a few minutes, he returned to tell us that his boss had asked us to leave. The manager's body language, unreasonable attitude, and rudeness towards us were unacceptable and discriminatory. We received unsatisfactory service and will not be returning in the future. We are considering taking further action regarding this matter.

Went today for lunch at the Nags Head. Excellant staff amazing , so much food choices I had Fish and chips and Daughter had burger beautiful big portions.We felt very safe plenty of room between tables and so relaxed feeling with all the covid rules followed.Thank you for normality.

We are pleased to see that it is open again after this terrible crown virus thing. . We have visited several times and are very happy to see how they have the things organized with a good staff that keeps us safe.The food was up to its usual level and I must congratulate you on the way you organized the food to take when the pub was closed. We were happy to pick up the meals to take that they kept warm when we picked them up and enjoyed it a lot. Well done to all of you.

Today I visited Nags Head for lunch. I felt very safe with all the measures in place. My friend had the three cheesecake from the special offers board and I ate veal and rice chili. The reason this place is so popular is that food is always good and service is excellent. Clive, the owner, is always available to check that everything is entirely satisfied. Well done to the whole team!
