We had a wonderful dining experience, thanks to Christmas gifts. There was a great variety of dishes available for both meat and non-meat eaters. Our waitress, Mia, was exceptional. She was attentive and accommodating, never making us feel rushed or pressured. Mia took the time to engage with us and ensured we were comfortable. We were not overcrowded and had a relaxed dining atmosphere. Best of luck to Mia with her law degree; we can't wait to come back and hopefully have her as our waitress again.

We had yet another fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. Our server, Sarah, went out of her way to accommodate my husband's dietary intolerance by diligently checking ingredients in the dishes. She also ensured that my birthday celebrations were special.

I hate having to do these sort of reviews but it’s owed to those who are thinking of visiting miller and carter Sherwood forest , I wouldn’t waste your time. Visited here with my partner today for our anniversary meal. Was welcomed by a lovely waiter so I have no complaints there regards the service of the waiters. There was a set Boxing Day menu today which we was really looking forward to until finding out half of the food on there menu they didn’t have…. So had to settle for what they had it wouldn’t have been our first choice for starter. My partner had ordered a drink the same Time as ordering the food, safe to say the beer they had on draught was flat. The starters were not so bad however when ordering the main course (steaks) we also ordered a side of roast potatoes. When receiving the main courses the steak wasn’t so bad however the side of roast potato was overcooked and dry… to be honest it tasted like it had been chucked in microwave. Awful. We actually left them. When ordering deserts every item we asked for they didn’t have and had to go for the chocolate brownie… the chocolate brownie was that dry it just crumbled so we left that too. To say this was a set 3 course menu there was hardly anything on the menu available, then to serve flat beer and overcooked dry food in a chain like this is just not acceptable, the prices are not exactly cheap. Definitely no compliments to the chef today and will not return.

Beautiful place, a lovely stylish restaurant. The waitress was so lovely, friendly, calm and attentive. I had the loveliest meal I’ve had in a long time! The steak was divine.

I went there for Christmas dinner with my partner and we had a horrible experience will never go again. My partner had steak which was lovely but the chips, onions, sauce and other accompaniments were cold. I had traditional turkey the only edible thing was the carrots and turkey! The roast potatoes were hard as rock and seemed either overcooked or cooked from frozen. The parsnips I couldn’t cut, cauliflower was hard and the pigs in blanket was so hard it couldn’t be cut. There wasn't even a yorkshire pudding. We complained just about mine and they brought me a new one but that was worse. In the end I only ate a few carrots and some turkey. I complained again when he came to ask how it was again. He said he would ask manager to come over, he took 15/20 mins in meantime my psrtmer had eaten his steak and I was just sat there. The manager offered to let us have our 1 drink each free plus one more round. I was grateful they had offered but it had still spoiled my Christmas and I was emotional as I work every year as a nurse on Christmas Day and cook when I get in (for 40 years) this was the only time I had been out for christmas dinner. It took 50 mins to clear our plates. I just wanted to go home but we had dessert to eat so I had that it was nice but was described as Eton Mess but it was just a big meringue with a dollop of cream on and about 2 strawberries chopped up no sauce at all. The server was nice but we couldn’t get anyone’s attention to get a drink even though we were the last sitting and the kitchen was closed, it wasn’t that busy. I am disappointed and even though they tried to help me it wasn't enough, when we paid £90 each. They warm everything up in the microwave I think apart from meat and fish that’s what it tasted like anyway.
