Bar des Sports - Gavray

You know what, this little bar has gone from strength to strength. There are no frills just basic ingredients. You can sit inside or out, if the weather is good and on a Saturday watch the hustle and bustle of the local market. What I...like is the fact that you can walk across the road and buy sausage and chips or stroll down the road to the local baker and purchase a little treat. You can then take it to the bar and eat it with no questions asked. It's a good idea to purchase a coffee though : the owners are friendly and the atmosphere convivial. They also do lunch and evening meals.

Classic French bar opposite the market where you are welcome to eat the sausages and frites from the van across the road on Saturdays. Patrick Nadine are warm, generous hosts and the food is basic but delicious. On Friday evenings Nadine makes the best...Fish Chips this side of the English Channel. Sante!

I guess this place could be called cheap and cheerful. It's always a delight to pop in for a coffee or a meal. The owners are amazing. Always smiling and always have time to say hello. On a Saturday you can even buy your food...a cross the road and then take it here to eat with a coffee. A very Merry Christmas to all. See you soon

Visited this very friendly little restaurant in Gavray this week.Very simple but very well cooked food.A good choice of starters and a very good Plat du jour Good reasonable prices 13 20 Euro Set menu.We had salad paysanne, huge, and turkey escalope.A delicious chocolate gateau!Will be going again!
